Also, ATOT has one of the least liberally biased user bases I've seen on the net. And yes, that still means it's got a liberal bias. Conservatives don't usually know how to use computers. Whoops, did I say that?

Personally, I don't agree with either. Conservatives want to take away the 1st amendment, liberals the 2nd. Personally, I kinda like having them both.

You have your moments. This is not one of them. OT doesn't need a one-stop-shopping thread for arguing about our Prez, gay people, and all that.

You want arguments, take it to the Playp&N.

Not much else to do on a rainy Halloween day at work :)

I am not trolling, I am more interested in hearing why the need to be super liberal is rampant.

I honestly feel it is our society that allows people to sue over hot coffee or the kids ability to have their parents arrested for being parents; you know spankings and such.

If the youth of today does not see that we need to change our ways, I honestly fear for the saftey of everyone down the road.

I have no problems with pot, but I do have a big problem with our massive waste of government resources fighting it.
God may or may not be real. I don't see much point in expending too much energy on that one. I was a rabid atheist when I was a teen, but now, whatever. I'll find out when I'm dead.
No problems with gays. It's not "great", it's just another aspect of who a person is.
And Bush has a horrible disrespect for our Constitution, but his cabinet bears just as much or more blame than he does.

I'm 29.

The scary thing is that this isn't just kids. A majority of adults graduating from college are this retarded as well.

Yeah, because you have to have experienced hardship to appreciate the necessity of discriminating against gay people or banning marijuana.

Not exactly. This problem started to become rampant in the mid-to-late 90's. Most children before then were more intelligent, disciplined, and respectful to others. I believe that things like progressive education and such have contributed to the decline that we experience today.

i think it may have started to become worse then (or more likely the 80s), but i wouldn't say it started then. i'm sure there has been stuff like this since there was authority to fight against. its pretty much against human nature to be told what to and when to do it, etc.

i don't have proof to post here, but i'm sure there is some out there.

Those aren't really adults.
And it's not very adult to consider viewpoints that oppose your own "retarded" ;)

Make sure you're naked and smeared in pistachio custard first.

If you're going to do it, do it right.

The problem with useful idealism is that it arrogantly believes that its ideals are the best ones and that the ends justify the means to make those ideals come true. Adult experience comes from having other peoples' youthful idealisms shoved down your throat.

Because there's a bigger percentage of AT'er in California than any other state.

... and on a personal "don't care what you reply with" note, in my experience, whenever anyone speaks their mind against the liberal opinion they are ganged up on and insulted over things unrelated to the issue. This is why many people who have those opinions choose not to share them.

No one's shoving anything down your throat. The "adults" are the ones making the laws, no matter how much noise the younger set is making.

Topic Summary: Do you really feel this way or are you the sheep?????

What has brought 98% of ATOT to the way they feel. Is the youth of today so bent on being against authority?

I could go on and on, but these few topics are enough.

Curious.

Are you afraid of P&N?
