I knew NCIX was looking at opening in the US when I was working with them, just wasn't sure when. Will be interesting to see if they can compete down there.

I got a confirmation email this morning that mine shipped at the 149 price. I guess we will see if it arrives.

Congrats. :)

Sounds like earlier orders were going through, the employees approving the price matches probably weren't scrutinizing them closely until the deal got more attention and they started getting flooded with price match requests for this product.

My pricematch got denied for $149.99 through NCIX, got best offer $189.99. so i did anther pricematch today for $179.99 and they denied it but went ahead and charged my CC and shipped it at $179.99. still $30 to $50 cheaper than anyone else so good enough for me.

The crazy thing that happened with my order, I ordered the CPU and some RAM on Saturday around 3 pm, and the order stopped because they said that my cc expiration date was invalid, so I didn't pay for it until late Sunday night through pay-pal. I have a feeling that they were trying to get me to give up.

Anyways since I was in the market for the cpu, I was going to get it at the counter offer if they called, luckily they didn't.

Wow, I thought it was just me but I got the same error with my order, though for something else that was pricematched at a different greater than 20%. The pricematched item was a $15 fan controller. I may have to get on the phone with them on this.

Having worked for NCIX for a year I'll tell you two things. One their internal computer system is buggy as HELL! However they have an amazing inventory tracking system. Two they tend to have very good customer support, on average. So it's possible what happened with your order was some type of internal error, hard to say. I hope they upgrade their internal system at some point. When I was working there it was amazingly detailed and allowed for a level of inventory tracking that was insane but it was built with layers upon layers of buggy code :(

Also their web site leaves much to be desired. It's written in 1999 HTML and has more than a few issues. The way their sales update it's not at all uncommon to click on deals that look like they are available only to find they are sold out when you get to the shopping cart, this happens ALL the time! Having said all of the above I really liked working with them and they had some great deals and some of the best customer service I've seen.

I hope they'll work with me, because I ordered some fans and a cooler for 2 other friends. We pooled the order to get the free shipping on orders $50. There are currently 2 issues:

1. I tried reordering with a different payment method, but the free shipping promotion was over.
2. I bought the remaining 4 fans listed as in stock in their inventory check as part of my first order that didn't go through. Issue here is that the site now lists those fans as OOS, most likely due to my first order that likely won't ever be processed.

I'll put NCIX to the test and see how they handle this issue to my satisfaction.

Have you created a support ticket with them? If you run into any issues let me know. I doubt I have any pull on the US site but I still do for Canadian orders, despite not working there anymore.

I buy approx $10000.00 worth of stuff from NCIX.com every year (Canadian site, canadian company) and price match 80% of my items, and HAVE NEVER in 10 years been declined a PM request.

Mind you, I've never tried a in store price match request. I doubt they will do this for everybody. May have been a slip up

There customer service and Express shipping service in Canada is out of this world.

I ordered a GTX 570 yesterday and Its being delivered to me today, and I'm a 1000 miles away. $8 shipping. Purolator rules.

Update:

I called them and the rep said that they had to transfer some stock from Canada and it would be shipping to me today. Stock problem probably arose from all this price matching.

Understandable. I'll stick my bear back in his cage. :)

As a former emplyee I can back up most of what adam_the_giant said. Though we did have some issues occasionally. At least within Canada. I'm sure there will be some teething issues starting up in the US though.
