That's stupid. The only place smoking looks cool is on film.

Ban it everywhere else instead! :D

OMG....

EDIT: So bond films will be R now. That means they're free to have the bond girls go naked. Woot!

Gee, let's ban fatty foods in PG-13 movies too. They could cause heart failure!

For what it's worth, this will NEVER become a reality. At worst, films will have to declare smoking in the little advisory box below the rating.

You can put this with the pissed off parents (over teachers having one glass of wine with dinner) from the DC field trip.

Adults must now ACT like children.

It will never fly, until smoking is banned from being shown on daytime television.

so tell me again why you can smoke at 18 and drink at 21 in the US.... doesnt make any since.. you can have alcohol comercials but not ciggarette comercials

now you might not be able to smoke on film but you can drink on film.....

something just doesnt add up here.. LOWER THE DRINKING AGE or BAN SMOKING (btw i'm 21 so lowering drinking age wont help me)

You're right. That doesn't make a lick of sense, because drinking is potentially much more dangerous than smoking.

Meh. But moderate drinking is MUCH safer than moderate smoking. I see what you're saying though.

Best argument I've heard yet.

Fox News likes to report a lot of "interesting" stuff that seems tweaked to finely polarize the nation's opinions. I wonder what other smoking-related stuff is working its way through legislature or similar.
