I've just got a couple of questions and I think the older people here would likely know. TIA

Does Smoking/Drinking affect one's teeth?

Shots of Everclear burn when it goes down; what sort of damage can 95% alcohol do to me in the long term?

Ever see a homeless guy? Look at his teeth. That comes from smoking/drinking and bum fights.

Yes

As for the everclear question, if you're drinking straight everclear, you're already damaged beyond repair.

That there is the trouble with everclear. The drunker you is the more smart the idea of drinking it straight sounds. But even plastered, Holy Mother of Jesus, that hurts.

Ah yes. Everclear.

Everclear "burns" in a way that cannot be described. Whereas 151 just tastes really fucking bad, Everclear is like a brush fire that ravages your esophagus. It burns like all mother fucker going down, burns like a mother fucker coming up, and evaporates all moisture in the process.

For smoking: damage to the mucous membranes & cilia of your respiratory tract. Which in turn damages the expansion abilities of your Alveoli resulting in shortness of breath. Also increased production of mucous leading to chronic bronchitis and emphysema (COPD). Also, damage to your bodys' immunilogical surveillance leading towards and increased risk of lung cancer.

For drinking: On an empty stomach, damage to the mucous membrane lining your digestive tract which could lead to uclers. Cirrhosis of the liver leading to malnourishment.

Cankers in your mouth and throat. Ulcers in your tummy. Chicks find you undesirable. Increase risk of catching colds and other diseases as you temporarily strip the mucus protection from your mouth and throat.

Meth teeth are not caused by the drug itself. It's caused by a combination of grinding your teeth and neglecting to take care of them. I'm also guessing the homeless people you see without teeth is due to years of neglect and not brushing their teeth.

The stains are disgusting enough from smoking.

Yeah, Everclear nights always turn out bad. One night I thought it would be a great idea to switch to Everclear after having already drunk over a fifth...The rest of the night didn't turn out too well. I felt fine the next morning surprisingly.
 
Putting anything dark on your teeth with enough frequency will stain them, thus smoking will and drinking dark liquids. The everclear will just damage your liver. And other liquids can erode the enamel off your teeth, such as drinks high in citric acid (many sodas).
 
smoking while drinking negates the negative affects of both. i recommend doing both at the same time, always a good way to pass a saturday night. 🙂

HEHE,, that is what ususally happens!

If you guys are worried about me, "doubtful" but rest assure I'm only a social "smoker/drinker" Once a month type gig. I'm just wondering if even in my case the effects are detrimental.

I was actually quite concerned about my "mucos Lining" LOL WHILE I was drinking everclear because I know what Rubbing alcohol does to body surfaces in general. Anyhow, I'm definately going to just dumb down everclear with club soda or idk water. "yes" weird that i'd even mention water, but i also can not conceive any alcoholic beverage as "Good Tasting", they all taste bad, so I've resolved that the only reason people TRUELY drink them is to get drunk. Which is why I've also put the efficiency side of me into it, everclear by volume of alcohol is a great value.

I'm also allergic to certain things they use in the fermentation process. They're minor reactions but bothersome nontheless. But I've had No side effects whatsoever with Everclear. God send for a social drinker IMO.
 
that much irritation on the stomach can cause gastritis which over time can lead to hypochlorhydria, reduction of stomach acid production, which leads to digestive problems including malnourishment and inability to breakdown foods.

trust me, it's not fun.
 
My dad always had gum problems in his mouth. Once he stopped drinking, his gums got a lot better.

It's all anecdotal and circumstantial, but hey...

I'll drink a good wheat beer or 2 with a nice steak, and that's the only alcohol i'll have that day... guess i'm weird

Are you seriously this worried about it? Eating a chocolate bar probably has more potential to stain your teeth than drinking and smoking once a month. Just brush your teeth like you (should) always do every day.
