Smoking around minors

It looks like smoking in your car with a minor passenger is going to be a misdemeanor here in CA pretty soon, which is all well and good. There is also talk of including unborn children under the same law, and again, I guess that makes sense. But how is it that it would be against the law to expose a fetus to what would be third hand smoke, but perfectly legal to abort that same fetus? If the child is granted rights, doesn't it get all of them?

lol. No. Abortion protects the child from being born into a world that does not want it. Basically, abortion prevents childhood torture. Everyone knows this.

We should probably ban the mother from eating anything unhealthy. And then ban the mother from FEEDING the kids anything unhealthy.. We should probably just have Dear Leader raise our children for us.. everybody knows this would be better!

You just entered a difficult realm. because no 2 situations are alike.

Hypothetically situations :

When the parents decide to have the child, nothing should harm it. Not even smoke. But they are unaware of the negative effects of smoking on the fruit.
And thus they smoke.

Is is known that smoking causes negative changes to the fetus. However, some parents choose to ignore this because the addiction is stronger then the love for the child.

When the mother is pregnant from a rapist, she decides she does not want to have the child because she cannot love it and also does not want it adopted, because she would not know if the child would turn out alright. She can never love the child because every time it reminds here of the rapist. Braking her heart because it is not the child's fault.

Some young stupid couple of teenagers get horny and the girl gets pregnant.
They do not want it because it would interfere with their life and study and they just wanted to make love or just have sex, but the parents of the teenagers have forbidden fornication. The child will be born healthy when not aborted.


These are possible situations And you can see the difference between abortion and smoking.

Therefore these rules are needed. You expect people to make the proper decision but in reality...

This would be my rulings.
1 = no smoking.
2 = no smoking.
3 = abortion.
4 = abortion.
5 = abortion.
6 = no abortion, the parents must bring the child up for it is them who are responsible. The parents refuse to accept that anticonception or birth control could have prevented this.

Eh when I was young being around those that smoked made me feel ill, like nearly passing out or feeling nauseous and not in a good way.
Even now being around smokers still makes me cough quite a bit.

So you're saying that the parents decide weather or not civil rights are bestowed on a fetus. Would this be some sort of non-revocable declaration that's made within a certain amount of time after impregnation?
I simply don't see how the laws could be reconciled. We could end up with a truly bazaar situation where a woman has an abortion to avoid being charged with child endangerment.

I present a few different situations and you can only discuss this ?
The parents do have a right but abortion is not the same thing as birth control preventing conception and thus the need for an abortion. The child in the hypothetical situation will be born healthy and there is no other problem, thus no abortion.

I simply don't see how the laws could be reconciled. We could end up with a truly bazaar situation where a woman has an abortion to avoid being charged with child endangerment.

America has some strange flaws in it's culture.
