$89.99 + a free $10 Gift Card* (original price $199.99, MSRP 249.99)

I thought it was a typo at first. Just ordered one online and am on my way to pickup in-store. Not a bad last minute stocking stuffer...

Happy Holidays!

LOL....that is the price they are selling these at the Sony Outlet Store. They were not even refurbished either.

Hmmm, I just checked and only see other refurb models at the Sony Outlet.

The Sony Store has this one at $179.99. And you won't get one in time for X-mas!

Hope the GPS doesn't start smokin 😉

Thanks! I ordered it at Sears.com for a little over $91 because I would never use a Best Buy gift card.

My girlfriend wanted a GPS for Christmas and this fits the bill nicely! It even has text to speech!

Gotta go to B&M outlet (like in Wrentham, MA). They actually have more than the website does. Still a hot deal though...those outlets are realy out of the way.

I was thinking about getting the Garmin StreetPilot c580... is it worth the extra $70 for the Garmin? I never really hear anything about Sony GPS - more so Garmin and TomTom.

I was able to pick one up at Sears for $75 and some change with my associate discount (10%) for in-store pick-up. I had to pay about $3 in tax, but the total was still less than $76!!

IMHO Garmin, TomTom and Magellan are the leaders in the GPS biz. There are pros and cons for each, and they are relatively more expensive. $ for $ tho, if a Sony and a Garmin with the same features were the same price, I'd go for the Garmin, but they weren't, so I didn't. There are plenty of examples of other questionable companies offering GPS products at this price that I'd steer clear off (haha...a pun :laugh🙂. I bought this unit a month ago for my gf (and now a 2nd one for her mom's Christmas present) and we're very satisfied with its features, performance, ease of use, and...price(!)

Deal looks dead to me. Showing backordered for 1-2 weeks with a price of $199. I'm thinking maybe it was a price error, but hopefully those of you who ordered it will get it.

It's backordered at the warehouse but you can do in store pick-up if a store has it. Also, if you add it to your cart, the sale price will show.

Any idea if this gps is any good?

I was trying this at the sony outlet store. Not bad...especially for the price. if you never had a GPS, go for it. If you have used a GPS before (like a Garmin), you may want to think twice.

My bad. Glad to see this is still going.

I don't understand how GPS's get satellite information, like does buying 1 brand give you access to the same linkup as another brand. Like if I buy this over a Garmin to use in a rural area, will I have better "reception" with say a garmin or Tomtom over this sony unit? I want to get this for someone who has to do a lot of driving in off beat rural areas. Does this unit allow the custom upload of map packages I hear all the GPS geeks talk about?
