Smoke smell in console, any suggestions?

Got a big fat old PS3, it's in pretty decent shape but my friends liked to smoke around it and now that it's out of that environment it definitely gives off a smell in a normal room. Any ideas how I can get rid of the smell? I haven't used it much myself yet so I'm guessing it'll lessen with time and use in a cleaner setting at least, wouldn't mind being a bit more proactive about it though.

Theres nothing worse than smoke smelling electronics for those that arne't used to it. It'll eventually clear itself out, but if you want to hasten it, take it outside and set a fan next to it to blow fresh air through it.

Spray some axe in there.

Dress it in a polo shirt and pop it's collar while you're at it. :sneaky:

Getting moisture in there would probably be a bad idea. Plastic is porous so that's where the smell resides. I work as an auto detailer and smoke is one of the hardest thing to get out. If you're feeling adventurous, strip the thing apart (it's out of warranty anyway) and blow the dust out. You could try gently washing the plastic case in a mild vinegar solution.

The only real way to get the smell out is to do as mmntech suggested and disassemble it. You will need to give everything a cleaning, internal and external.
