SMC Barricade IRC Settings

Ok having some problems with IRC and this Router.

i can connect,send and download all fine.
but i cannot resume any files if need be.

i can resume something from someone else however.just people resuming from me is a no go.

i guess it has something to do with incoming ports etc etc,but i've tried everything i can think of and still no luck.


SMC Barricade SMC7004ABR
14-Port Hub
4 PC's - Win98SE on 3,Win XP Pro on the other (Win98SE on the one using IRC)


If anyone has got this Router working correctly ith IRC,or knows how to set it up correctly i'd appreciate any information.

Special Application Port List

That's a list of ports that the programs use. You might have to go into your Special Applications page of your router config and open the ports that you need. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the info,but still having some problems with this.

I enabled the following Ports to the PC running IRC:

59
113
7000 (IRC's Default Port)
1024
1025
1026
1027
1028

I set these up in the Virtual Server area.

but now i can't do a DCC Chat,or send any files with these settings.

is there something else i'm missing here?
i'm getting kinda confused when UDP,TCP,Private/Public Ports are mentioned in these links.

this Router doesn't have a Private/Public Port setting.

Just Service Ports - and Server IP settings under Virtual Server.
and the following under Special AP:

Trigger - Incoming Ports


Anymore help with this would be appreciated.

I've tried enabling DMZ with no luck as well.
