thinking agout picking up this router today. currently using a Linksys 4 port router, but the thing is, i want to be able to connect a network printer, so i'm thinking about the SMC Barricade.

anyone else using this router? anyone hear any good/bad things about this router? jsut curious....

this should be in networking...


I used to have a 7004abr, the print server works good but remember it's not bidiretional. some printer software needs to send and receive data with the printer (like ink levels, error messages), those functions won't work then.
 
I've had a SMC Barricade for over a year and it has worked very well, no problems at all.
 
I've been using the wireless version of this router for nearly 2 years now. It's never missed a beat (i.e. dropped a connection).
