I have this router and I'd recommend it, especially for that price. It has a SPI (stateful packet inspection) firewall and a nice web interface with lots of configurability. It's very full-featured for a low-end router. For example, you can turn off the firewall completely, something you cannot do in many competitor's routers. There is a beta firmware that you can get from the SMC forum at broadbandreports.com that adds UPnP support. And you get all that in a very compact unit so it won't take up a lot of space.
Honestly I can't say too much about how well it works because I only used it for a few days, but it was easy to set up and worked fine in that time. I just disconnected it because I only have one computer right now, but I'm in the process of building another and then I'll start using it again.
The only thing I don't like about it is that it takes a long time to restart after applying any changes, somewhere between 30-60 sec (can't remember exactly).
