Ok, did a search for this and no one posted it.

First, I wanna give kudos to MrDeef for his glowing hot SMC 4port Broadband Router for $40 bucks!!

This deal is for those who missed out on the "Buy one, get one free" fiasco from Buy.com
Its not as awsome as the latter, but still comparable for an excellent switch!

Amazon.com has this SMC EZNET16SW 16 Port 10/100 Switch for $140.94.

Of course, there's also several $10 dollar coupons floating around. Go find 'em. ;)

Next, JandR.com has a link to the $40 Mail In Rebate.

$140.94 -$10 -$40 = $90.94 + shipping (tax if applicable).

Andandtech uses SMC switches. :)

Have at it!!

This switch rocks. I got two from the Buy.com deal. One is sitting still in its box waiting for a lan party big enough to use it.

Yeah, I ordered mine using this deal yesterday. =)

If the SMC switch is good enough for Anandtech, its good enough for me!

Anyone who owns this switch... How loud is the Fan... I need one for my home, which is wired to the teeth. Only problem is my NOC is in a hall closet and I dont want a lot of noise coming from it. I know netgear makes the FS116 which is without fan and silent but costs a little more.

Thanks,

This switch rocks. I bought one in the FS/FT forums. It's hella faster than my previous 5port Netgear switch. Honest to god truth, I now copy data across my network in half the time it previously took. It is quiet, rack mountable and inexpensive.

For 16 ports, you're nuts not to buy this, assuming you need a switch.

Fan, I can't even hear the fan running it's so quite. I have two of them and use them for my lan parties fatboy's pigpen @ Lan Smackdown. These are really nice and I wish I could afford one more tho.

I can't hear the fan on mine either. Probably because it doesn't have one. lol. I've installed several of these switches in network closets and they work great. You can either rack mount, put on the little rubber feet and set it on your desk or flip the rack mount brackets and screw it to a wall in a closet or something. Good quality switch with metal housing.
