If you have any experience setting up a smb server on linux, let me know. I'm having problems with OS 10.3.3's ability (or lackthereof) to navigate to a samba share. Other users seem to have problems with other details of this setup, but I've not even managed to get the OS to properly locate the shares at all. If you can help... hit me back here, pm or on aim "davlucmac". Thanks

DavLucMac, why are you using SMB as opposed to NFS for this purpose? NFS should be a LOT faster.

The easiest way, imo, is install webmin and do it through there.. Might be a nice prog in redhats gui, but I don't have a monitor or keyboard at my redhat machine

OS X uses Samba just like Linux, if you turn up the log level to 3 or so and check the logs on the server that might tell you something. Also you can use smbclient from OS X and set the debug level on the client.
