The results are pretty close to what I expected except the mytouch. For phones the mytouch came on top followed by the sgsii and then the iPhone 4s.

For still photos those are the results. But the scores are so close that less than 1% separated them so it's almost a tie. I thought it was interesting that for 1080p video the MyTouch dropped to the bottom of the video test and was substantially worse than the rest.

If you combine both video and still photos, the SGS2 is at the top, followed by the iPhone 4S, followed by the HTC Sensation.

I am confused about how they weighted the results because it's definitely not even weighting for each of the categories. If I just take the average, I get a very different number than they do.

Yeah I think it comes down to the sgsii and the iphone. I do think there is a slight edge to the sgsii due to the video mostly.

Which is good. No matter which platform you prefer you can get a damned good camera that can replace a point and shoot in a lot of common daily tasks.

samsung has always had good cameras. at least the phones i had were good. i really miss that, the dX camera sucks rocks. i didnt know they changed the cam in the ip4s from the ip4. thats good to see, the ip4 cam sucked most of the time as well (unless you had perfect lighting).

For what it is worth there are a ton of comments claiming the author deliberately caused the images taken by the N8 to look worse than they should.
