I just bought a JaMP3 player and it only has 16mb internal memory.

It says in order to upgrade to use a Multimedia Card. I was wondering if that was the same thing as a Smartmedia card. If not, what are the differences.

Thanks.

Yes there are so many competing memories out there it can get confusing, however the good thing about that is competition which means lower prices for us.

Check Pricewatch.com (type in MMC). Cititronics (cheapest but reliable with good customer service - they shipped to me in 2 days) has a 28MB MMC card (it is the size of a postage stamp) for $34 shipped. Together with the 16MB internal memory, it will give you 45 minutes of play at 128Kpbs or 1 1/2 hours at 64 (which is fine for headphones).
