I can't find it in my mainboard's manual.. can anyone tell me what is this
smartfan controls fan speed, but i can't figure what this means, these options are shown after i activated speedfan

smartfan temperature , options are (40C, 50C....)

smartfan tolerance, options are (1C,....)

your help is appreciated, thanks in advance
 
That temperature may be one of many things - fan enable threshold, CPU target temperature, basically any trip point you could think of. "Tolerance" should read "Hysteresis", but who understands the latter?
