Anybody using a No. 1 D5 or a K9? I'm looking hard at these watches because I don't want to spend more on something like a finow x5 (which I really like best). Are they performing satisfactorily for you? Are you having any issues with them such as charging or wifi? I really want a watch that can perform the functions they can and am not going to spend what lg wants for the urbane. Thanks for your input.

I don't recognize any of them, are they off brand Chinese?

If that's the case, don't buy them.

Just get something used on Swappa, I just bought an Urbane for $149 from BuyDig, all gone now, but you can find good prices...

Wow I'd have jumped on the urbane at that price if I'd seen it and the cheapest I've seen it was $199 at amazon. They jumped the price up quite a bit since that time and yes those are Chinese brands.

Yep, and I'm mostly an iOS user, I dug out my nexus 6, will give Android wear another shot.

I use Swappa a lot, haven't had a problem yet. www.swappa.com

I looked at swappa earlier and the lowest prices are all used units. I saw buydig's ad on ebay for $149 new but they're all sold out of both colors. I'll keep looking around but the lg was already high on my list, albeit a bit pricey. I absolutely refuse to overpay for a Chinese knock off watch. I've already tried a Samsung gear live which refused to charge consistently so I sent it back for a refund. Not to mention the fact that the snap on charging cradle is complete crap.

If it doesn't run Android Wear it isn't worth buying. Those Chinese watches that run full Android are a disaster.

If you are really cost sensitive get a first gen Moto 360. Still a great watch that goes for as low as $100 on EBay.

I don't care if items are used, the moment you open the box, stuff is "used"

This. Heck I'm rocking an LG G Watch and it does the job just fine, lasts 2 days with an always on screen too. Would love Wifi though, but I'm waiting for Android Wear to get NFC/mobile payment support before upgrading.

I just checked Slickdeals and the LG Urbane is on sale for $150 somewhere about every seven days. OP get the Slickdeals app, set it to notify you about LG Urbane deals, wait a little and buy the watch you want.

Honestly you should be using Slickdeals notifications for every toy you buy, it blows my mind that so many people pay full price for their non-day 0 toys.

Yep, Urbane V2 is out now, should get even cheaper.

Hey thanks for the heads up on slickdeals. I'll head over there and set up and alert. I almost pulled the trigger on a K18 but they only had gold colored left and I like that one in black.

Edit: Wow I missed a super sweet deal at Target for the urbane where they had it down to $104. I've got an alert setup for it now.

That was a very spotty deal, only certain Targets had it at that price. None of the ones around me did :(

Well I was hoping that I would be able to score on an ebay bit for a gen 2 moto 360 46mm black but the bidding shot out of control yesterday taking the price well above where I am able to go at this time. What I did do besides setting up a bunch of alerts and scouring the sales sites was come across a first gen moto 360 black for $99 on dailysales. Then I applied a 10% off coupon and with sales tax it came to just under $95 so I've got it on order. I believe that is the best I'll be able to do at this time and it will hold me over for some time until I am able to do better. At least I'll have a watch now as I sold my casio's in preparation for acquiring a new watch.

And to think that I started off with a Samsung gear live which was horrible. The charger was pathetic and you had to get it just right in order to snap it on and then the charge rate fluctuated everyday. Some days I would charge it overnight and when I woke up it was still not charged and that was with 40-60% battery when I started the charge. You couldn't tell unless you turned it on so it would tell you the battery status. I only kept it a few days and returned it for a full refund (shipping included) from groupon after I couldn't take it anymore.

Sounds like a wise move. I tried the Moto 360 for a while, and I still think its wireless charging cradle is one of the best inventions in smartwatches. The only other option that's (almost) as easy is the Apple Watch charger.

I really love that gen 2 360 as I tried it in my local best buy and it was just sweet as can be compared to the other offerings. It's a shame that it costs so much for the black with black metal band. Every now and then I see a silver with brown leather band on sale at ebay for around $275 but even that is way more than I can spend for a watch right now. I'm still looking hard at the finow x5 which is a really sweet Chinese amoled 1.4" traditionally shaped watch with 3 side buttons.

I'm still quite happy with my $79 first generation Pebble, especially once Pebble started supporting Android Wear. Every once and awhile I look at whatever the latest smart watch tech looks like, but I don't see much of a reason to upgrade. I guess having voice control would be nice. Maybe next time Pebble has a sale on the newer versions I might make the upgrade.
