Smart Problems?

I have a Maxtor 541DX 20.0 GB HDD which i want to find out temeperatures and things on, It is smart capable and i have it enabled in the bios yet whatever software i download to read these details it says that a smart capable hdd cannot be found.

Any ideas? Thanks

There is some software called "speed fan" which should suffice

I have speedfan, it doesnt detect temperatures it will detect spin up times and such like but not temperature.
