how do you use the smart card as a security? I am new with this. Any info would be appreciated

thanks

ceo2b posted a link with all of the information you need. Dell doesn't include or offer a smart card and leaves it up to the "company" to provide a 3rd party solution. Think of it this way. Some computers come with a 6-in-1 card reader, but it is up to the end user to purchase compatible media.

Acer provides their laptops with two cards. One is to be kept as an emergency is case the other is damaged or lost.
