Smallville is like one of their best shows, why would they kill it...

Because it's quite possibly the worst show on television. Wholly ridiculous and painfully hoaky.

It may be hoaky, but it's hardly the worst show on TV... not even close. At least it's different from the dozens of crime/cop/law/forensics shows.

Your lack of perception is stunning. Quantitatively speaking, your opinion is in the minority due to numbers showing an increase in viewership. You should not mistake your dislike of something as factual evidence. Furthermore it is based on a comic book for heaven's sake, of course it is going to be "hoaky" and potentially ridiculous at times.

Why the fvck would any self-respecting nerd (no matter how young) like Smallville? How the fvck does that show appeal to anyone?

I had a friend that liked that show.. he always tried to stick it on my Replay TV and I always deleted it.

I cannot stand shows where 25-30yo actors are used to play high-school students. Fvck that. Let high school kids play high school kids.

Also, that show is as dumb as Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

Did anybody else read this thread title and think "Good."

That would be cool, but I disagree about the movie. I can't wait to see it. It looks good. Meh, Christopher Reeves was not considered good enough for Superman at first either, but he turned out to be great.

The fact that many people watch it does not mean it isn't tripe. Or is Jerry Springer better than Boston Legal because more people watch it? Or are you saying that Firefly sucked because hardly anybody watched it. Can you clarify please?

Absolutely incorrect. For one, I don't find the X-Men movies hoaky. I didn't find the animated Batman series hoaky. In fact, what's so hoaky about Smallville is seldom the "super hero comic book" theme. Even the old Batman series was more campy than hoaky.

He still has yet to learn how to use his hurricane and ice breath. On the televisiowithoutpity.com forums, Stephen D. Knight, one of the producers, showed up to answer questions. Apparently, flying is one of their most expensive and complex effects, in part due to requiring wire-work in addition to the costs of CGI. Don't expect him to fly that much even if Clark finally gets over his fear of heights.

Wow....that new channel sounds like a real winner all the way around. Maybe I can give those DVD box sets of Dawson's Creek and Saved By The Bell a rest now.

blah...what is CW?

Merger of UPN and WB. I think it's C for CBS (which owns UPN) and W for WB.

So... they are cancelling it from the WB... and putting it on the merger because UPN and the WB?

Sounds more like a publicity stunt.
