In it's 9th season now. It's a REALLY lame series with bad acting and writing all round but for some reason I can't stop watching it. HELP I CAN'T STOP!

Actually it sort of jumped the shark a few seasons back with the last part of the relationship between Clark and Lana but it's gotten better since then. Not that it's actually good now.

I don't watch it regularly, but on a whim I had TED get the latest episode last week and I thought it looked pretty friggin awesome for a television series. The style and imagery just struck me as being extremely slick and well done. Maybe the story is crap, but I was seriously impressed with that one episode.

Yeah the production values aren't bad. The writing is sometimes passable. But the acting and characters really grate on you. It has a real 90210 over the top teen melodrama like thing going on with the relationships 🙁 I like it because I like superman and the girls are hot as hell 😉 Also after watching most of the 9 seasons I sort of can't stop.
 
I really can't wait for the series finale. I loved this show when it started, but it's getting long and drawn out. I just want to see how they end it.
 
No I don't watch it, but I know the feeling. You've watched so many episodes, and you feel like you're obligated to ride the series out until it gets canceled because you owe it to yourself to see how it finishes.

I feel this while watching Heroes, Lost, and Friday Night Lights. I'll be happy when they're all finished, but until then, I'll keep watching them as long as they're on.
 
The writing has been mediocre since the show started, but it had some good moments. I watched until this past season, but the show has been on a downward path ever since Clark graduated and since they left the meteor rock "freak of the week" format.

It really should have ended before he went to Metropolis to start his career. How old is Tom Welling now, 30 something? IIRC, he was too old for the role of high school Clark Kent to begin with.

I still watch it regularly, and while I definitely enjoy the random cameos from other comic book characters the quality of the show has decreased heavily since .. say.. season 4ish?

Strange I thought it actually improved after they went to Metropolis. The metero freak of the week format started to get really boring for me. The thing that almost got me to sign off on the show was the relationship between Clark and Lana and the on again off again on again off again teenage romance angst shit. It's gotten better since then.

I believe I have also except for the one from Friday of this week.
I am EXTREMELY disappointed that Clark saved Zod's life by giving him some of his blood after Zod was shot and now Zod gets to fly (full powers it seems) while Clark is still not flying.

Were you surprised? For one this gives him an actual antagonist to fight against, kind of boring if there's no danger. Second Clark doesn't exactly come across as the brightest bulb in the box on smallville. Although I guess you could say that's part of the writers plan. To make him look naive and overly opertunistic. Since he is invulnerable they had to make him weak somehow, they chose to make him stupid 🙁

I actually wish they would go ahead and make him superman already and explore some of that side. At least let him fucking fly! But I know this will never happen, the writters have said as much.

I've seen every single episode but it's gotten to the point where I feel so committed to it that I have to finish it out and see how it ends even though the show is pretty terrible at times.

The original creators had said that, and they're both gone so maybe there's some hope.

I always just figured the last episode or two they'd have him flying.
 
Ah yes, Melrose Place with super powers.

I hate this show---everyone is too old, they're rewriting all the mythology with really stupid stories...and Clark Kent should be flying/using his suit by now.

It was a good idea at first, but should have only lasted 3 seasons.
