Smallest Radiator to cool a 5870

So I've got a small case (LL V351) and would like to keep everything inside and water cool my 5870. The main purpose being to lose some noise and heat (inside the case). I'm thinking the XSPC single bay pump/rez combo, full cover EK block or equal, and a single 120 rad with a quiet fan. The "extreme" rads are probably more where it going to end up as i'm assuming they dump a lot more heat? Would 2-80mm extreme rads do it? Then I could split em up and dump heat along the way. I might overclock if it all works out.

Thanks,

So Swiftech has a link to a discontinued Micro rad with performance curves...

http://www.swiftnets.com/products/MCR80-qp.asp

...and one of the curves shows that their rad can dissipate 140W of heat at 1 gal/min. The XSPC pump is rated at 200 Liters/hour or about 0.9 gal/min. Extrapolating you get about 135W of heat dissipated at 0.9 gal/min.

I would think there are a ton of other things involved, head loss, air temp, fan CFM, etc., but all things being equal, would two of the Swiftech discontinued Micro rad's be able to dissipate 270W of heat (adequate for a 5870 - I seem to recall somewhere around 230W load)?

Given that the rad I want to use (Hardware Labs Black Ice Micro - 46mm thick) is roughly twice as thick as the discontinued swiftech, would it dissipate twice the heat?

I just can't seem to find any reviews on the micro rads?

Thanks,

Too bad someone didn't make a nice triple slot cooler with a shroud so heat could be evacuated out the back.

That would probably be a lot cheaper than the solution you are contemplating.

The 5870 reference cooler exhausts the air out the back of the case. The 'bat mobile' vents are just for show, the fan is shrouded, and no hot air is coming out of those vents.
