This is the smallest one I've come across so far.

I need this for a little homemade NAS I'm putting together. Anyone seen anything smaller?

I think that's about it. Anything else is going to have only two 5" bays or be larger. That's gonna be one tightly packed puppy... The Lian Li 50 series is only 15" tall, but it is a lot deeper and can hold four 5" drives and a full ATX mobo. OTOH, you get a bit more breathing room inside.

Unless you wanna shell out for a shuttle, probably no. Maybe build your own?

Ooh, I like that Lian Li case. Don't need external 3.5 slots anyway.

I just looked at the L-L 3077 series. It is even shorter at 14.4", but is also a bit deeper. Its HDD rack has some rubber isolation - something the 50 series lacks. I might go for that over the 50 series even with the higher price (but the Egg offers free shipping on it). Looks like you can pull ALL the HDD bays AND the FDD bay and have up to SEVEN external 5" bays. Now that's cool! Looks like a good part of the extra cost is the 3-in-2 HDD rack in there - the Egg charges about $25. for that alone...
