Smallest decent sounding computer speaker set (2.1)

My gf needs a small speaker set for her dorm ... She spent a lot of money on an LCD just because she has so little room but now the z560 that I gaver her is a major obstacle.. Any recommendation? She only listens to music (mostly the lillith fair variety) so nice, smooth sound is fine.. We were looking at those monsoon speakers - anything a little cheaper but similar (flat panel speakers)?

I have the Z-340s right now and they are great. I will be taking them into my dorm.

Cambridge soundworks are good, very small cube speakers 4x4x4 inches i would say pack quite a punch as well

Is the sub huge? That's the biggest problem of the z560s - MASSIVE subwoofer, decent sized sats

umm on my dads 4.1 its 9x7 inches at most i cant remeber, my 5.1 sub is 13 1/2x8x7
