Smaller opening over video card.

In my Shuttle XPC, there's a small opening over my video card where a fan could blow air through to cool the video card. Above that opening is a cavity where a 120mm fan could fit, but the opening is about the size of a 60mm fan. In this case, would a 120mm fan in that cavity be better than a 60mm fan? I'm just trying to get a fan up there to blow as much cool air as possible through that opening to the video card. Also, the fan would be pretty much pressed up against the opening.

Um...

I'm NOT a Shuttle XPC expert, but isn't that "cavity" for a 3 1/2" HD, and isn't that "60mm fan" for cooling same?!?!?

Maybe some pics would help... :)

It's an SD39P2. It has two 3.5" hard drive trays at the very top. You don't have to use both. My hard drive is in the top front tray. The back tray isn't used so that's where this "cavity" is. In this "cavity" I put the 120mm fan. The area boxed in red is the opening over the TV tuner and video card that the 120mm fan sits on.

I greatly exaggerated the size of the opening. It's more like the size of a 20mm case fan, but still enough to get some cool air through if I could find a fan that could fit right over that length and blow enough air, it would be ok.

That hole / cavity isn't really for anything. It's just space available up there when you take the second hard drive tray out. There's no mounting location for anything, it's just plain, open space. I did take the 120mm fan out today and my video card's temps. shot up about 20C. I guess I'm leaving the fan in there.
