You know what's funny? For some reason I completely forgot all about the old tried and true form factor of a boombox. I had them when I was a kid and they were the only game in town forever. I haven't bought anything like this in forever and when I came back to the market decades later, I was confused.
They tricked me with the new shapes and sizes and blue tooth functionality of all the new mobile radios, but they are still the same old thing. A battery operated radio with big speakers, only they use blue tooth. Why did I forget about the boomboxes? Damn it all to hell I am getting so old. Thanks for the reminder.
 
I went ahead and bought the one I linked to but I got it from best buy since I had gift cards. I only paid $120 for the thing after taxes, so it was a great deal. Regarding the sound from this thing, holy crap I didn't really expect it to be so loud and clear. Its a very big sound coming from that thing and its WAY overkill for my needs lol. Oh well, $100 bucks man can't beat it.
