I hope you know your history because if you did, you'd know that Microsoft worked on the original Mac OS building the framework that the GUI ran on.
Saying M$ makes bad software is rediculous. That's pure fan-boyism. Windows wouldn't have become and maintained it's dominance for so long if it was bad. The only reason you hear more about Windows problems is that it has to run on a large assortment of hardware and devices, with an even larger array of software titles doing all kinds of things, and the fact that there is what 20x as many Windows based computers out there than Mac? It's just pure statistics. I've supported Macs and they have some serious crap outs of their own. They wouldn't have Mac Bombs and the dead face built in if it was perfect.

Err...I didn't say MS makes/made bad software. I've owned and built Windows PCs for 8 years now. Thanks though.

lol, the Apple hate is strong with this one. Those who hate Apple speak negatively about their iDevices when their bias is at the company itself and not the actual device.

iPhones could cure cancer and there are those who still wouldn't buy it. If the company is evil, fine, but that doesn't automatically mean that the devices suck. That is something I won't understand, which is those who don't leave the evil company argument at the door.
Well thanks for this added input. Now the rest of this thread is about everything but the topic. I had to stop reading half way. :\

ummmm, what is your point? People are saying this is why they refuse to support Apple--their shady, petty, business practices.

that is the point. This has nothing to do with their devices. Why are you creating an issue where it never existed?

and yes--there are things that I do take issue with their devices--shitty build quality in the iPhone, for one; but they generally make excellent devices. The people you were responding to very directly addressed Apple as a company--why, then, do you bring up something about the devices?

lol, you guys claim that you don't hate the other device. :D

http://fosspatents.blogspot.com/2011/11/apple-loses-ipad-design-lawsuit-against.html

Apple is known for going after the little guys with reckless abandon (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2055869/German-cafe-Apfelkind-logo-dispute-Apple.html) and it seems this time it backfired. NT-K's victory against Apple sets up a nice precedent for any Android tablet maker to follow.

..and who said Steve Jobs is dead?

that is ridiculous. I was pretty much convinced that bullshit like this would stop at his death (since it seems that most people at the top at Apple didn't honestly respect the man).

Oh well.

Well, this was probably initiated while SJ was at the helm. Can't really expect an organization as big as Apple to change overnight with the death of SJ.

Where did you hear that most people at the top didn't respect Jobs tho?

May not be over yet. For some weird reason this was tried as a criminal case and not a civil one. Needless to say, a lot of the details of this case seem completely bizarre.
