Small Screen or Custom-Built Notebook

I was lookin at the Dell 14.1 notebook...is there any other ones that have customization available??

is there anything that's barebone so i could put parts in myself??

You can buy barebones laptops and put them together yourself.

like is there anything besides dell that's worth getting?? i know alienware and abs...but i know there's better ones out there

I just bought a Toshiba M50. My only complaint about it is that when you have it on your lap, and put to much weight on both ends of the laptop (almost like you are unaware your are almost bending it), the screen does this weird thing. I am not sure if this happens with any other laptop, but it never happened with my gatewat, but then again, the chassis on it was so big that you could probably break the chassis with out breaking the actual board.

You might want to take a look at Compaq and HP. The only problem is they charge $70 shipping and tax in certain states (surprisingly Louisiana is one of them). Also check out other guys such as Acer (www.newegg.com or tigerdirect.com)
