I bought a Gateway 6400 server and it comes with this motherboard:
http://esupport.gatewayatwork.com/static/servers/compo/motherbd/4000741/400074101.htm

According to the specs I need to use the following type of Ram:
The 6400/7400 motherboard has four DIMM sockets, supporting up to 2 gigabytes (GB) of synchronous dynamic RAM (SDRAM). Requirements for the RAM are PC-133 SDRAM, Registered, CAS Latency 3 with ECC.

Now, I'm trying to fit this thing inside a 1U server case (very short, about 1 - 1.5 inch tall). All the registered Ram I can find are huge and will protrude. Do you guys know of any registered Ram that's shorter? Or is it mandatory that I use registered Ram?

<< The ServerWorks ServerSet III LE requires not just registered DIMMs but ECC Registered DIMMs.

For all my rackmount needs, I goto www.rackmountpro.com.

Thanks for that link!

I checked out this. It's $89 for 256mb:

I found from pricewatch Corsair 256mb Ram for $73:

It's ram from Corsair. Is this also compatible with my motherboard? And is Corsair Ram better than Kingmax Ram?
