Small problem

You guys have been terrific with advice and help. I have one more prob.

My system has been running well till today.

When booting up the fan (delta) speeds up and decreases a few times before running smoothly.
Never happened before.

I have a 90mm fan in front, an 80 at back, a 3fan HD cooler, a pci cooler plus the delta which is plugged in the MB and a 300W antec PS.

Do I need a bigger PS or is this a sign that the delta is going to die?

i wouldnt plug that delta fan (BLACK LABEL 7000 RPM???) on your mobo header as it will probably burn it out. plug it into a PSU connector , then re-try it .

conlan makes a good point! if you do what he suggests, make sure that your m/board bios doesn't have to detect a working fan on the cpu header in order to function properly. if it does your system will shut down for safety reasons!
