Small problem with windows shutting down.

As of late when I shut my system down, it gets the "It is now safe to turn off your computer." crap. Started about maybe a week ago. I looked online and saw that there was a registry entry you can edit(set a 0 to 1 or something somewhere). But I am still having this problem.

I am thinking someone may know how to solve this problem. Thanks!

P.S. I am using Windows XP, just updated to SP2 and still have the problem. (Was currently using SP1, figured update might fix it, but i guess not).
