Hi all, when I boot my puter after an install or when it's just been off it goes through some of the boot stuff for a second or two and then I get this black screen that asks me what O\S I would like. The choices are WINDOWS XP or WINDOWS XP. I did at one point have two Win XP installed, but on 2 different drives. I was really screwed so I just fromatted both and reinstalled XP on one drive only, my C:\ drive. So now when the puter boots I get a choice, but have only 1 O\S. Is there away to get rid of 1 of these WINDOWS XP's, and then have my computer boot right to the logon screen? It's really annoying when I have to choose. Help!! :):):)

Thanks,
Chevy

Edit the Boot.ini file so it looks like this:

[boot loader]
timeout =0
default = multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS
[operating systems]
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS = "Microsoft Windows XP Professional" /fastdetect

that should do it.
