I'm having a small problem with seti on a coworkers pc. I've tried setidriver and setihide and still have the same problem. When the cmd-line.exe runs a dos window opens and will not hide. You can minimize the window but it is still sitting there on the taskbar. I'd really like to get this fixed because he has a Pentium 2.5 ghz. Does anyone have any ideas why this is happening?
Thanks for any help.

SETI Driver has a " Hide processing" box also, make sure it is checked..... and save the configuration also...

The machine is running XP.
Setidriver: tried the hide processing feature saved config, restarted, no change.
Setihide: client hiding is automatic

Unless his OS is skrewed up, I can only suggest a complete uninstall and "redo".

Is this the same computer that couldn't get to my Q the other day?

Smoke, this is not the same machine.

The machine is a dell - that's probably the reason. It has got to be something in particular about his machine because I have never had this problem before.

You could skip using SETIHIDE or SETIQ and try installing the SETI CLI as a service and point it to a SETIQ.
