OK, my friend has these strange, extremely tiny blisters on her upper lip. I dont know what they are, but they are all over, almost like a ... wet fine grit sandpaper. Any suggestions on what it is.... or should I just plain run for the mountains..?

Yea, we WOULD goto the doctor, but the campus health center is closed on the weekends.

Uhhhhh, ok.

Could be herpes, could be many other things, only a MD will be able to tell you for sure.

This is not true at all. Cold sores can take on many forms, but most people do NOT have the severe outbreaks you mention. Definitely be wary of close physical contact with her, as if these are cold sores she can easily pass the herpes virus to you, and can even give you genital herpes if she goes downtown. She should probably go see a doctor for a more thorough diagnosis, but it certainly sounds like cold sores (i.e., herpes) to me.

It amazes me that people want to use the ATOT forum as a source of medical advice.

OMFG I am having a heart attack! What to do? Quick! Call ATOT! (j/k)
