Small latch on side of laptop won't go in! Help!

Basically on the side of my laptop there is a place for (I think) a network card so I wanted to see if it actually was what I thought it was. Anyway, I pressed a little button that was in the computer side and out poppd a little tray. Now, when I want to push the button back in, as well as the tray, it won't go!

Is there anything I can do?

With the card out, push the button in; it will click and lock in. Then push the card in.

Follow these steps:

1) Push the little button all the way in (it should click into place). The card/piece of plastic should be out.
2) push the card in

to get the card out:

1) push the little button so it pops out.
2) push the same button all the way in.
3) remove card.
