Just built a new HTPC for my kitchen. It's located inside a cabinet, replacing a Mac Mini which ran warm but reliably.
These are my components:
Habey EMC-800B Mini-ITX Chassis
Intel DH67CFB3 Mini-ITX Motherboard
Intel 2.5 GHz i3-2100T Processor
Kingston KVR1333D3N9K2/8G 2x4GB DDR3 1333
Crucial CTFDDAC064MAG-1G1 64GB SSD
LG GT30L Slim DVD-RW Drive
Evercool EC5010M12CA 50mm x 10mm Case Fan
After testing with higher than normal use patterns I'm getting temps in this range:
CPU: 61 - 70 degrees celcius
Voltage Regulator: 51 - 58 degrees
DIMM: 45 - 49 degrees
PCH: 68 - 76 degrees
Obviously I know cooler is better, but from what i understand these temps are within an acceptable range. Can anyone confirm?
When idling or during low use activities temps are on the low end of that scale or even lower.
System needs to be small and quiet, so I'm willing to trade off and accept some heat, but want some comments on these temps.
FYI, this system idles at 16 watts according to my Kill-A-Watt. When streaming a 15Mbps MKV over the LAN it's running at 21-22 watts.
Thanks!
