small headphone amp?

I bought some Sony SL71 earbud headphones to use on my PSP. It's not all that loud to me. In a noisy location I especially notice. I'm looking for a headphone amp that could fit in my pocket (if such a thing exists) Googled around, but couldn't find anything that small.

I've tested 2 pairs, the buds, which cost me 50 bucks. Then my Philip cans, which are about on par with the Grado 60's for sound. the PSP just isn't that loud, don't think it's a headphone issue.

you could be right. to save battery live, they don't power the headphone jack as much as they should have and leave a soft/weak signal making it hard to hear. <shrug> would be equivelent of nitendo not backlighting to save power. 🙂.

for portable amps, hit up audiophile forums (www.head-fi.org is one)
