kynar has a higher dialectric coefficient, and high heat resistance compared to rubber. You can make some very cheap, kickass audio components with this stuff, because the better dialectric element (than say rubber, or PVC) creates less signal/time smear. Heh, maybe I'll post this at audio asylum! It's also good for sensitive equipment, high temperature environments, and just for general hookup wire.
It's not as good as teflon, but teflon tends to be less flexible, and costs more than kynar.
