Small government Republicans strike again

no skirts, no dresses, no jackets with a hood and nothing with a hood inside the school.

The Republicans are such control freaks based on their super fake morality. A handmaid's tale is in our future.

Republicans are just nasty beings.

"Clothing with hoods, dresses, skirts and skorts now all banned for students in fifth grade and higher at a Texas school district.

It’s part of a new dress code that officials say will help improve the learning environment, and it has one soon-to-be sophomore fighting back.

In a few weeks Brooklynn Hollaman will dig through her closet, looking for clothes to wear on her first day of 10th grade.

“We were allowed to wear dresses and skirts and skorts and everything like that,” she said.

But this fall, the Forney high schooler will have to limit what she can put on.

Forney Independent School District is updating its dress code for the upcoming school year.

The district has a seven-page document with every detail, but the most notable changes include this: No clothing with hoods can be worn inside. That includes hoodies, jackets and coats.

Also dresses, skirts and skorts cannot be worn by fifth-graders or older. Pre-kindergarten through fourth-graders are still allowed to wear the latter.

“I even have a little sister that can’t wear skirts anymore,” Brooklynn said.

In a statement, Forney ISD writes the dress code is meant to “improve student self-esteem, bridge socio-economic differences among students, and promote positive behavior, thereby enhancing school safety and improving the learning environment.”

“I think people should be able to wear them as long as they’re appropriate,” Brooklynn said."

I'm shocked it isn't the other way and mandating that girls must wear skirts/dresses. Seems like in rural Texas this would be viewed as making girls cross dress.

What's this? The " I might see panties which makes me feel funny inside" law?

Rumor has it Pence saw pictures of Uvalde schoolgirls that were gunned down wearing skirts, and he couldn't help himself. That's why he didn't visit the families.

When i was a kid in the Los Angeles school district girls were required to wear dresses or skirts while boys had to wear pants and shirts tucked into them. I guess times change since that was over 50 years ago. We even had requirements about how long the dresses had to be and how long/short boys hair was. Just because a Texas ISD make up new rules doesn't mean the OP has to get his lil panties all in a bunch.

You can see this shit happening in all sorts of places around the country, not just about dress codes but for all sorts of shit how fake small government fascists really just want more and more government control, as long as it fits their toxic bigoted and misogynistic worldview

Meanwhile, in NC, girls just got a court ruling against a mandate that they must wear skirts.

Man that vote was 10-6. Who were the 6 conservative theocrats that ruled in favor of mandating skirts?

Time for this district to vote them all out. Unless this district supports it, but i highly doubt that.

I assume these rules pertain to public schools exclusively. Those high class expensive private schools that are getting public funding of whom wearing uniforms that require skirts be worn by female students are A-OK, yes?

Or maybe those religiously infected prudes over there are concerned by skirts that look like these?short skirts.jpg

Hey, if I was a young man in school having to ogle a sight like that, I'd marvel at how perfect the female human form is and how appreciative I'd be for the ladies to model themselves in that way. Yehhhhh, tha.....that's how I'd feel about that. 😛

I am curios if they sent a notice to old man winter and mother nature to disallow rain/snow/cold since they can't have coats/jackets with hoods. (yes, they get snow there)

I'm willing to bet there was a boy or trans girl wearing skirts and this was their way of preventing it.
Could be. Although another reason occurred to me. It is easier to dodge bullets wearing pants. This is probably their common sense way to deal with school gunmen.

So if I follow the conservative line of thinking as to how our kids in school need to be protected, schools of the near future are going to look really similar to facilities like San Quentin, Rikers Island, etc. right? Yeah, that'll make for a really healthy environment for our kids to get educated in.

This is simple:

Can't worry about creating exceptions to an abortion ban for cases of rape. Amd why do girls get raped?

No skirts, no rape, no exceptions to abortion. Ita's quite clear.

As long as they don't wear masks, those things will have serious long term effects.
