I hope someone can help, and I hope this hasn't been asked too often.
The system:
AMD Athlon 650
MSI K7 pro
64 MB Micron memory
300 watt PS (AMD approved)
Soundblaster Live Value
Generic monitor MGC?
Fresh install of Windows ME
video cards: Creative TNT2 32MB and Voodoo 3 3000
The problem:
I have put both cards in this system and have experienced the same problem on both of them. The games (NFS and Pod Racer) pause for just a second at points. Mostly at the start of a race and about ten seconds into it. The strange thing is that it pauses at almost the same places on both games and on both cards. It does not pause at all in the intro movies.
I have installed the latest drivers for the cards. I have set the games down to their lowest settings, but it still does it.
What the heck is it?
Or does anyone have a good link to troubleshooting video issues?
