Anybody happen to know whats the redline/max rpm for a Briggs & Stratton 17.5 HP I/C Vertical shaft motor and the redline for the current 35 HP Briggs & Stratton Vanguard motor. I know these engines go past 3600 no doubt about it but, does anybody know the highest rpm these engines can put out?

Being able to rev past the stated limit is true for practically every engine (if you force it to). It doesn't mean that it is a good idea to do for significant periods of time or while under load.

Trust the documentation.
