Looking for a small 1500W heater to crank up while in the bathroom, or in the PC room while browsing AT.

And these smaller ones that look more like a desk style (though I wont be putting it on my desk) like this
Walmart has both syles for about $18. Which should I get? And does it make since to run one of these instead of cranking up the central heating unit (gas) on a 1400sq ft home if I'm just gonna be in one room?
