Small dot/ pixel following my pointer

Okay, I have this small pixel following my "I" pointer while typing messages in this and other forums. It's about 1/4 inch to the right & the dot moves along with it when I move my mouse.

Not the arrow cursor but the one that looks like an "I" while typing a message here . Here's what' it looks like only the dot is an actual pixel & half the size of the one shown here............

I run the latest ad-aware & virus programs but this is just freaky. Anyone know what's up?
 
Take pic, sell said mouse pointer on eBay for eleventy billion dollar using Buy It Now, and hope Golden Palace buys it.
