I loaned my exgf some money for a downpayment on a house around 9 months ago. We agreed (verbally, which is legally binding in Alaska. She also admitted it was a loan on her weblog, so I have proof.) that she'd pay 24 payments of $150 and 1 payment of $100 ($3700 all together with no interest).... long story short. I broke up with her shortly after and I have never recieved a single payment. I sent her a certified mail letter saying something to the effect of "If I do not recieve a payment by Oct 1, 2003, I am taking you to small claims court." I got the return reciept showing she recieved it on a Aug. 19, 2003.... With her signature and everything.
Well... no payment today, so I'm going to be taking her to court and will not accept any checks at this point from her as far as payments go. Can anyone give me some tips on suing in small claims court? Where should I start? About how long is this going to take? I live in Alaska, so it's probably faster than someplace like Cali.

EDIT: I should clarify, I don't actually need the money... it's disposable income. I'm doing it for the prinicpal...
