I'm looking for a small case that takes an atx psu (since I have an extra one lying around) that has at least one 3.5 or 2.5 slot and a full external 5.25 slot.
-
I'm aware of the silverstone sg10/sg09 series (actually micro-atx cases) and the cooler master elite 110-130 (mini-itx).
-
These cases are a little larger than I would like and I ony need one hd and one external 5.25 slot so there is quite a bit of room for triming.

(not to mention that the silverstone cases are excessively expensive);

Any suggestion for a smaller case ?

The cooler master Elite is about as small as it gets, if you're looking to support full-size optical drives and PSUs.

I have a Silverstone SG05, which can be modded to take a full size PSU, but you'd have to get a slimline ODD.

I use one of these for an HTPC computer. It is really just a simple computer with no video card and just a hard drive and a DVD. I don't really like the drive configuration. I wish the drive mounts were right next to each other. It looks ok.

I have a gigabyte motherboard with a Mini-PCIE AC wireless Centrino Card.
I turned the power supply upside down the remove hot air from inside the case.
Case has a front 120mm intake fan.

What advantage does the sg07/08 offer over the sg09 or cooler master ? It seems very similar just different external style - of course the silverstone requires slim drive while the cooler master takes a full drive.

I said mini-itx in the title but to be honest a micro-atx would be a bit nicer (can you squeeze the micro-atx into cooler master case?) since there are these $100 bundle deals with the pentinum.

Would the Silverstone SG 07/08 work for you?
