Small case for pc appliance

I'm looking for suggestions on a small case for pc appliance. So far I'm considering the AOPEN H340D and Antec Minuet. The reviews for the antec are somewhat negative (heat problems around the hard drive). Any other suggestions welcomed (or comments on these two cases).

The motherboard will likely be the Albatron KM18G pro2.0 so no video card will be required. Only card will be a 1/2 height modem. I'll probably go with a duron 1.3 and 5400rpm drive (not sure which) to minimize heat.

This isn't going to be a game pc (web browsing/email off of a tv) - sort of like webtv

It's something like 13.5" by 14" and 5 something high.....

When used as a desktop/htpc the chenbro has a smaller footprint and is cheaper than the two cases you2 is considering. Plus it supports full size ATX cards, sells for $31 and is rated for a P4 3ghz.

It's being used on a TV. neither the AOPEN or Minuet will fit in my tv cabinet (to deep), the chenbro will.

Of course there are plenty of smaller alternatives, I just listed one I am familiar with.

What do you sugest pspada?

Way too large. I should have mentionted the dimensions need to be 14",18",4" or smaller.....

Also that sucker is expensive ($200) - even with the mother board...

Um, it's (L)300*(W)200*(H)185 but those ain't inches, it's mm! But you are correct, it does exceed your 4" smallest dimension.

I have the same case, it works fantasticly (is that a word?)

The only thing I don't like is the words optical drive on the front, and that's probably the only complaint I can find about this case.

Those little itsy bitsy pc look cute but alas they don't support tv-out. They are also $350 more than the home brew model I was thinking of..

You can add a video card with TV out.

PSU is a rock solid fortron/sparkle 200w. PSU sells for $19 at neweg, so $31 for the entire case is pretty good.

Only problem with the PSU: it has a 60mm fan on the rear vs the 80mm internal fan used on some sfx PSUs. The fan is temperature controlled, under full load with my 2.6c the fan gets pretty loud.
