Small Business VPN

I'm looking to set up a VPN tunnel between two small business networks. I need a VPN router with internet connection sharing and NAT functionality. It also needs to be relatively rock solid as far as stability goes.

Does anybody have any recommendations? I'd like to keep the cost down, but I don't want to sacrifice performance and stability for price.

I recommend either the SnapGear SG300, or a SonicWall TELE3 if you're wanting to do IPSEC. The SG300 can be found under $200 and is multi-purpose. Link

CubanCorona, the Linksys BEFVP41 has worked well for many folks, but it is a little tricky to get set up and has had firmware bugs. It's not the safest choice, but it's the cheapest one ($100) that has worked reasonably well.

How about the Linksys RV0041?

I like the PIX 501, but it's relatively expensive compared to the others. Accordingly, I only want to dish out the extra dough if it's necessary for rock solid stability.

Would you please share how you managed to get IPSec working on your Sonicwall? I have a TZ-170 running v3.0 Standard and I followed every piece of documentation on their website. I even called Tech support but all I got was "well, it works in theory."

CubanCorona, I have not used the RV0041 but have not heard of many people trying to. If you're going to buy a device from Linksys, it needs to be *cheap* because that's the quality level you're getting.

The PIX 501 is a good choice. Watch out on the user limits, though.
