a lot of it is state specific. as to federal taxes, it depends on whether you are Incorporated or not and how you choose to incorporate.

Proprietorship, LLC, Incorporated SubChapter S etc.

basically a lot of small businesses without huge liability risks are going to go proprietorship, in which case it's a lot like filing income tax returns for an individual.

Google search for "Small Business Tax Information" netted the following on the front page:

http://www.irs.gov/businesses/small/
http://www.smbiz.com/
http://www.toolkit.cch.com/
http://www.employers.gov/

Sometimes it pays not to be a total 'tard by being able to accomplish simple searches for information without having to have other people mine it for you.

look schmuck, i was posting in here because this is were quite a bit of people do computer stuff, so it would save me quite a bit of time if i could use what others had used with good results. anybody can find information, i don't have the time to go through all the b.s. for information that doesn't fit my needs.

The time you wasted being an idiot would have been better used going to Google and searching yourself, schmuck.

some people are a waste of sperm...

what an LLC does is limits your liability, however for tax purposes it's EXACTLY the same as a propietorship.

That's what makes it nice, pay less taxes, take home more dough.

(If you don't mind filling out a lot of paperwork)
