Our small business making changes and adding more load to our linksys e1000
We have:
2 wired Networked Computers
2 wired Networked Printers
6 Networked Cameras (2 of them are wireless): all are consistently running and tracking moments (running through a POE switch to the e1000). Can view through internet or Iphone/Ipad.
1 wired Networked time clock.
2 Switches (including the POE switch mentioned above)
8 Ipads & 2 Iphones connected. Using icloud and WebDav to upload files.
Use VNC throughout the day.
Spider Oak running every now and then (using a lot of bandwidth).
I think the network is starting to get bogged down. Not necessarily speed wise but I don't think the router can handle that many devices all at once. Sometimes many of the devices cannot connect at all. Sometimes the printer(s) will not show up as networked, requiring restart of router.
The main issue is right now, the ipads are having issues connecting all at once.
The router is mounted on the wall. We are going to be upgrading to comcast soon vs (ATT DSL 6 down).
So my question is, what would be the ideal router for this small business? Again not a speed issue but rather a router issue.
