Small annoying bugs in XP Pro I want to get rid of, any ideas?

When I select a bunch of objects by holding left mouse button and dragging the transparent blue field over them, the field moves slower than a two-legged hedgehog; it stutters like I was trying to execute something veery demanding. Selecting many files with the mouse shouldn't be demanding, though
Likewise, I get these bad stutters when I try to scroll down among my many favourites.. what could be wrong?
Worth to mention I believe is that before I had installed the Kyro2 Drivers from STM , (Xp didn't recognize my poor Kyro2), I had even worse stutterings when I tried to scroll with any scrollbar. It was like a curtain being pulled down when I tried to use them..that thing was removed when I installed the drivers though. Still, I'd like to hear if any of ya have any ideas about what is causing my current stutterings and what I can do about it.

It sounds to me like the video card drivers are not handling some of XP's fancy graphics very well. I don't know what to tell you for a fix though. Any newer drivers you can try?

To test it out you could boot into /basevideo mode and and see if the problems still exist. Of course base video mode looks like crap so it wouldn't be a solution to your problem, just help to narrow it down maybe.

Ok thanks, I will find that option and try it , at least. I guess I can try the Hercules drivers, though they don't differ much from the reference ones. Ah well.
