many higher end notebooks are trying to split the performance/storage gap between SSDs and HDDS. The options seem to be
Large 7200 RPM HDDs
Hybrid drives (Seagate Momentus)
Drives with small SSDs (Lenovo 24G, Dell 32G?)
Full SSDs (Complemented by USB3 or WifiN based outboard storage)
What are people's experiences with the small SSD versions of notebooks. Is the performance improvement worth the money? Do they improve application transition times? Other Performance?
This would be for an impatient notebook user that wants snappy performance but also stores more than 250G of pictures and other media on their machine.
